Addressing the widespread doo-wop collectors hype of preferring 7" vinyl to 10" shellac regardless of issuing date differentials, while 12001 was numerically the first 7" inch single issued by Federal (1951), chronologically it was more likely issued on the heels of the success of "Sixty Minute Man" (12022) some months later in 1951. Lacking corporate records, it is impossible to determine whether or not the two were issued simultaneously on 7" or whether 12001 actually came after 12022, seemingly more likely the case. Any corrections or more light on this subject would be appreciated.
