This is a private release from the cult saxophonist Bengt "Frippe" Nordström on his own Bird Notes label. Normally he would press up 5 to 10 copies to give to his friends. The recordings on this particular issue was probably recorded off Swedish national radio in the 50's or live in concert in Stockholm onto Frippe's 1/4 inch tape machine. This record was probably pressed up in the early 60's.
