At their peak, the Elevators were a thrilling live act. Keen to capitalise on this, International Artists wanted to get a live album from them. They set up a gig to be recorded, but things didn't go according to plan (as was often the case with the Elevators) and a satisfactory recording was not captured.Keen to go ahead with a 'live' release anyway, International Artists cobbled together various studio out-takes and demo recordings and then overdubbed some totally inappropriate crowd noise from a boxing match! And here it is...While some of the recordings here are pretty good, the crowd noise really does detract significantly from the listening experience.
