Probably the first 'trance' CD I ever bought and I still keep coming back to it. The original version of Schöneberg has a sublime smoothness that none of the remixes ever recreated, while Briankiller captured the excitement and mood of someone discovering raves and trance music in the early '90s.Have to agree with the previous reviewer - 'Acid Bird' is a superb acid track with a real sense of menace and suspense. I'd love to see some visuals to it.Scary to think it is all verging on 20 years old now but it still has the sounds, rhythms and production of top class modern electronic music.

Early morning music from the early ninetees.. This is one of the best compilations from the golden years of trance.. Classics like "schoneberg" and "loops & things" are compiled with pure stomping beauty from axid force and bassexpansion to create an excellent blend of boomin' bd, floating & flying synths and occasionally brilliant 303 loops (trk 8 in particular).. Tempo is high, but the music still manages to be deep in a way that just doesn't occur in today's trance releases.. I wonder what went wrong on the way since people don't make this kind of music any more..
