PING: A sharp, high-pitched sound, as that made by a bullet striking metal.
Also a protocol to measure the loss rate during data transmissions.

FONK: THE groovy sound

PING-FONK: Digital groove

"My music explores the relationship between Jungian archetypes and recycling culture.
With influences as diverse as Nietzsche and Didier Barbelivien, new tensions are manufactured from both opaque and transparent meanings.
Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated by the theoretical limits of the zeitgeist. What starts out as contemplation soon becomes finessed into a hegemony of lust, leaving only a sense of failing and the prospect of a new synthesis.
As shifting sounds become reconfigured through diligent and diverse practice, the listener is left with a clue to the possibilities of our era."

- Jean-Guy Barousse aka Ping-Fonk
