Limited edition of 1500 copies in oversized card wallet, with 12 page foldout booklet featuring texts by Alec Finlay and Andrew Hodson.

Dance Trace is a field recording of the sounds of dancers and dance classes performing on location at Dance City(Newcastle-upon-Tyne). The sounds were (re)composed as DmAuNsCiEc by Andrew Hodson.

The CD also includes dance trace, a poetic animation by Alec Finlay. The audio files (tracks 1-38) play on standard CD player. The poetic animation and the audio play on a standard PC/Mac. It is possible to listen to the audio and view the animation at the same time.

Dance Trace is published in the Bookscapes series by Platform Projects / Morning Star in association with Dance City.
