Tom Green (of The Tom Green Show) introduces character MC Face in this crazy, yet very valid, hip hop CD. It has everything that makes Tom Green what he was - raps about his friends, places and things that affected him in 1995-98. It's a unique glimpse in to pre-MTV Tom Green's twisted comedic hip-hop mind. The rapping is done by "MC Face," and a couple notable producers get in on the action ("The Stuntman," "Space Ace Commander Rick," etc.), and Tom also provides some excellent sounding beats.Self-released on Ceiling Fan records, originally available from his website through about 1999, this CD isn't likely to have a reissue anytime soon. I spoke with Tom at a comedy show about the possibility of a re-release, and he was initially positive about it (calling the resulting CD "20 Years of Hip Hop" in our conversation), but as of 2015 there has not been any additional information. Tom also seems to be distancing himself from his past a bit, concentrating on his stand-up and talk show development. Original copies (of which there are 1,001 - including a test-pressing) have only increased in rarity as the years go on. Be prepared to pay upward of $100USD for a mint condition copy of this. Worth every penny, from a biased fan's opinion!
