Risky Strong Dromedary
This track first came to my attention via a YouTube video on songs from 1979 that should have been bigger hits. I haven't heard everything in that video all the way, but so far I concur with most of it... this song being an exception. The musicianship's rather nice, but the lyrics are generic enough that they wouldn't sound out of place in any other Seventies soft-rock number. Not to mention, the chorus features some of the most obnoxious vocals I've ever heard. Judging by this song alone, I can definitely see why critics didn't like the album from which this came, and should I ever buy a copy, I just hope it's better than "I Need You" might indicate.
