Debut LP by this Southern California improv quartet that was something like a off-shoot of Universal Congress Of. Led by saxophonist Lynn Johnston, there are some destructo-rock moments, but the second side (with an Ornette cover and two Ayler tunes) is about as jazzbo-specific as SST ever got in the ‘80s.
