Don't know about other owners of this release, but Followed By Angels is afflicted by nasty digital distortion, the digital mastering is highly likely to be responsible. To add to this, my vinyl pressing, which was near mint new, is really noisy - you can tell it's a quality issue rather than simply dirty or worn. Shame as it's a sweet melodic techy number with a distinctively warm rhythmic bassline...

perfectly aligned 1210 + fresh DJ S (ortofon) makes vg+ recs sound excellent - this ep still exposes ridiculous levels of surface noise (one half of each rotation is ok, other 180 degrees are noisy) the stamper must have been dirty or got destroyed in transit prior to pressing imo.

mine sounds terrible... especially in the lower midrange..the hats and snare are ok, but the wall of midrange-surface-noise is completely unacceptable - my theory is there were way too many copies pressed from one set of stampers, those who got the first 600 have got a perfectly ok product..we might have bought the last copies pressed, something like 1900-2000 dont know.. i bought my copy from a shop and it deserved getting thrown to the bin or sending back but i didnt check it right away ;/

My copy sounds perfect. I would try a different copy or try it on a different setup

"Followed By Angels" is a warm, plastic-y, melodic techno track that almost rivals Aril Brikha's best work. Its structure is very minimal with elements rising and falling in the mix in a hipnotic manner. In my opinion this is better than all his other solo work, by far.
