Selar's first album released on disques puzzle in 2003.

"Stories of towns by night. Wandering people who want to escape. And flashlights behind electric posts. A music for large american roads, where contemporary cowboys play pop music in large open-air american cars. Through our open windows, we can hear the shelled notes of a glockenspiel, and the smart superimposition of electric and acoustic guitars. We can feel the flights of some winding voices, on waves of old wobbly analogic keybords. When the car passes away, we are surprised to keep on singing one of those heady choruses, that we’ll keep in mouth till the next croosroads. Selar’s music parks here, at the border of lo-fi music (for simple but efficient constructions) and 60’s pop music (for baroque arrangements and catchy melodies).

A few years ago in Marseille (south of France), Selar was part of the pop combo U-Mass, with whom he toured for a while, and with who he opened on stage for the irish Catchers. When he arrives in Lyon in 2000, he met Scalde, who introduced him to Yirgah, who introduced him to Oomiaq. Together, they formed 713705, and electro-pop band with an unique moving geometry, who’s now be the band matching together all the members of their collective disques puzzle. Today Selar releases his first solo album, produced by Scalde, and on which also features Yirgah and Hajime Matsumoto, his label mates from disques puzzle.
