Japan-for-U.S. original Varèse Sarabande CD pressing of their 1986 LP configuration (704.340), which was itself a reissue of the original 1975 LP configuration (FMC-4) from Elmer Bernstein's Filmmusic Collection, featuring a re-recording of thirty-eight selected minutes from the original 52-minute score of "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir" by Bernard Herrmann, here performed by an unidentified orchestra under the baton of Elmer Bernstein. The packaging features an eight-page booklet with liner notes by Fred Steiner (which continue onto the back cover from the interior pages), as well as musical examples from Herrmann's score, on the interior pages; and a color front cover, featuring a photo of Gene Tierney and Rex Harrison as Lucy Muir and Daniel Gregg, respectively. (The booklet indicates that this release is part of the "Elmer Bernstein Filmmusic Collection," and the inlay card also indicates that the photos contained within the booklet are "provided by the Critt Davis Cinema Collection."
