I managed to have it changed by the seller who had packed some before Christmas ( It's a fantastic end of the year's gift). But i would suggest to buy it at a reliable jazz seller shop , great disc by any mean

I baught it yesterday in Paris. unfortunately, this beautiful 3 LPs package had the third disc doubled and Disc 2 was so missing . I realised that when opening it. Last saturday one of my friends had a similar experience and had to exchange it TWICE in a four hours daytime ! First one disc was simply physically missing , second time one of them was scratchy ! One of the hell experience. The crazy trend of demand for the vinyl medium is producing side effects , even top-notch productions are affected. Could anybody confirm ?

records are all correclty here, listened to all now and they sound fantastic....but they all look shabby...don't know what happened there...premium vinyl 180 g should not look like this. will keep it as i am not too sure if i can get that one again over here..

My copy was fantastic, no issues. This is the first I have heard of any issues in regards to this. This is not the norm. Sorry you had a bad experience.

nice item - for sure Eric more than deserves this.worrying a little about the fact that one side is more than 30 minutes long, which can occasionally lead to a loss of dynamics (didn“t check so far).second question arises, Eric did more than the studio performance with the Bob James Trio, he played the Ann Arbor Once Festival live, where legacy states, Robert Pozarsmashing a big glass, does anybody know, if this was taped ? (a lot of Once Festival concerts were taped, see the beautiful box on New World Records)

Agreed with the first review here, although there is enough here if you don't have conversations or iron man to make it worth it imo. The book is extremely well done and the vinyl itself is top notch. While I wouldn't say pay more than $700 or MSRP for this, it is completely worth that price. Dolphy was a master, and this just underscores it.

included in the LP-version is a LP-sized booklet with maybe 16 +/- pages, so possibly the CD-booklet has the size of a "book".
Fountain_tenderness
Is there a seperate "book" or is it a booklet? The resonance web page states "Includes an exhaustive 96-page book". How does that work with a trifold?

1st impression. Packaging nice. Beautiful tri fold with good quality printing and booklet. Vinyl flat and seemingly free from obvious defects and fingerprints. Sound on disc one 1 a little lacking on the bass. Vibes from Bobby nice but the bass from either Khan or Davis is a little one dimensional and hollow. Looking forward to discs 2 and 3, not sure it'll be a holy grail like their Bill Evans reissue though. Don't pay silly money for this pressing. Guess will settle in the 60-80 dollar bracket long term.
