Rolling Flipper
Incredible deep, driving and dirty progressive house. Heavy rolling bass propels this track along while sharp-hitting string chords hypnotize and build the track. The Original Vigado Mix is very dark, and makes good use of a one word male vocal sample ("Extacy") swishing it around in a wash of reverb amongst rolling waves of bass a la John Creamer & Stephane K's "I Love You". At the breakdown, a female vocal takes over with the phrase "You Make Me Feel So Good" (also heavily reverberated). The Muzzaik Remix rearranges vocals and adds a dark progressive tribal house beat to the track, and flows into a nice synth wash. The real killer on these plates though is the "Housematic Mix". This mix takes the rolling bassline and beat (with additional sharp percussion) from the Original Mix, but ditches the string chords. After a long and deep build, the male vocal is introduced and then the male and female vocal samples alternate and intermingle, creating some absolutely amazing vocal synergy as the record breaks and falls into waves of bass! All three tracks are excellent productions. This release is worth buying for any of the three mixes alone, but the Housematic Mix is just perfection. D1 and D2 are ambient synth washes used in the tracks, while D3 is an acapella of vocal samples used. Highly recommended!
