I have recently re-discovered this CD in my collection. I wonder when he recorded it in 1995, he knew people would still be so keen on it 17 years later. If you love your acid, this is not to be missed.

when i first listened to this mix in 2012, it is 17yrs old. it still sounds good today. masterpiece only gets better when becoming older. I love acid sound.

Very nice mix here that is well worth seeking out. I actually prefer this greatly to Hawtin's later mixes and find this much more enjoyable to listen to. Around this time, a lot of DJs were going for a much more frenetic, pitched-up, banging style, but this mix is more of a mood piece. Sure, some tracks are pretty pounding but the the mix has a good amount of breathing room and often the tempo is probably below 140 bpm. The track selection is excellent and I can't really think of a track I didn't like on the mix. The tracks blend together well also, even if the mix as a whole feels fairly straightforward. For a commercially released mix-CD, this might be one of the best I've heard, but I still think I prefer Hawtin's "Virus" mixtape over this. Try to track down a recording of that if you can.
