This is a crap compilation, made even crappier by the omission of 4 tracks which are intact on the other editions. I keep thinking maybe someday it will grow on me, but it never does.A lot of really great electronic dance music came out of Belgium in the early 1990s as New Beat gave way to harder, more straightforward techno and trance with a slightly housey feel, but when those trance producers tried their hand at "ambient" / "chill-out" music, the result was missing something. It all just has a very light, overly melodic feel, bordering on New Age. I'm pretty sure both types of artists used the same presets on the same digital keyboards.Cheers to Astralwerks for trying to keep the "ambient house" torch burning, but they should've passed on licensing this material and put out something more in line with their excellent Excursions In Ambience compilation series.
