Completly disagree with the other reviewers all slating the remixes, the Dj Framic mix of this track its the best version by a country mile! ok the original is good but that repeated "get ready to go" sounds so cheesey/cringeworthy and in 2018 so dated and something youd associate with the makina jocks up North, The Framic mix is nothing short of a blissful masterpiece, the way the riff is teased into the bassline is brilliant, its a lot more uplifting which i prefer. This was the preferred mix by djs Mark EG & M-Zone (features on their epic 3hour set @ Space in 1999) and by Kenny Sharp (plays this on his Uprising 1998 mix) and im not one to doubt their judgement!!

The DJ Framic remix is the only one worth noting here. It doesn't beat out the original, but it delivers a sound more typical to the trance that was being released in 98. Cocooma's remix is musically alright, but ends up suffering due to cheap production quality. Gary D & Dr Z's remix does the original no favors and ultimately ends up sounding lazy, which is strange since the original Initialize is a track that would have been right down Gary D's alley at the time.
Goldfury
One of the most uplifting records ever to fall within the fog area label. Not the easiest to mix and the record itself is very light which can add difficulty to beatmatching. However, aside from technicality, Initialize is an amazingly constructed and unique piece of music that will never sound dated or inappropriate in any set at any time. The b-side isn't my cup of tea and is hugely overshadowed by initialize. All in all, i'd give the record a 5 out of 5 as its flaws are meagre in comparison to its plus'

This remix package does the original no favours at all, with the Gary D. and DR. Z re-hash coming at the bottom of the pile. I don't know what they were on when they produced this but they've somehow managed to turn 'Initialize' into an alternative theme tune for the TV show 'Blind Date'. Fog Area were obviously trying to cash in on a particurlarly popular track, but ended up with a release that seriously dents the credibility of the label.

Initialize is a very uplifting track, really neat vibes, and even if you're normally not into hardcore/hardtrance, I'm sure you'll find this interesting!! A killer on the dance floor, as well as in my headphones ;)
Contancia
The perfect example of the awesome hardcore trance sound of Fog Area. Massively uplifing and bouncy. Its the one that says "Get Ready to Go!"
