JEP - This record is really really not rare at all...

The engraving work on this vinyl is amazing to say the least, don’t know what have taken most time to make, the music or the engraving, but I have never seen anything quite like it. The double picture disc vinyl is a vinyl version of the Narc Beacon cd from 2001 with a different track list and a few other songs, if you can call instrumental music for songs. Here we find all the old Goodiepal synonyms and friends and it’s with great pleasure that the Gamers In Exile are present here, just as on the cd, representing London/Roma with great skill. I have no idea how many copies were made of this one but it’s kind of hard to find I believe, I have seen a version with a sticker and one with handwriting on the cover in runes like a signature or something. Anyway the vinyl is cut from the original real to real tapes and you can hear that, very clear and analogue sound compared to the Narc Beacon cd, which has a more digital kind of sound. When that is said, I think they are both interesting, especially of course since the Goodiepal seams to put such great effort into mastering and pressing of his products. That everything with his name on just screams of quality! In other words get this record if you can.

Goodiepal comes up trumps on this mini album on Skipp. A great combination of sweetly melodic sounds and gratuitous stupidity that's as potty as it is engaging. I don't know quite how he does it but he always manages to imbue his sounds with a humanity that's very appealing. Fans of Dat Politics, Kemialliset Ystäarvät, Es, Fransescian Hobbies and associated pranksters should investigate. BOTH SIDE TWO'S SEEM TO BE VERY INTRICATELY ENGRAVED.
