I have no issue with the cover quality at all, it has a nice matte finish to it. The pressing quality is outstanding as well...there sure is a lot of moaning going on here.

They'd have had to make up their own artwork to do inserts. This replicates the original release more.

I see your point about the printed inners, or an insert or something.

I really have to say Im extremely dissapointed about this price they put on this record, The PreOrder itself whith shipment to Europe (Dublin) was already 53€, which is already twice the price I usually pay for a new release and today I got told that I have to pay another additional 16.60€ for customs because this record was so expensive, what makes a total of 70€ for a new (re)release. You won't see any price drop below that probably...

There's another very disappointing fact - this record comes with no insert and John's photograph by Sonya Koskoff, which I think is very important for this release. This album is meant to be sitting solid on a collector's shelve and be one-off.. In fact 'TROWFTD' has never been released on vinyl by Warner Bros. (by a number of reasons) before. And I really doubt it will ever be released again in any other version. What a shame that Twelve Suns haven't done it right. Well, at least 'Brown Bunny OST' had seen the light of day as gatefold.

I paid a little over 20€ for custom fees which made it over 70€ total. Have to say I am also disappointed about the poor quality of the sleeve.

Same here, I've paid about 42€ for the record, 15€ for shipment and today 8€ custom fee... still, SCWP double vinyl did cost some more!

Ask questions if you purchase this LP off of this site. Many sellers on Discogs get away with listing sealed LPs as being in mint condition even though there is clearly visible damage to the sleeve. This double LP has a very thin sleeve. I ordered 4 of them new from the manufacturer and all of them arrived with minor to moderate creasing.

Mine also got a slight dent in the right bottom corner. How hard can it be to properly send a record.

That is great advice! I ordered two and one came with minor corner creasing but thankfully my 2nd copy was totally intact.

Not trying to pay 60$ plus shipping for a new copy. Oh well.

I purchased 4 copies which came to a total of $207 USD, shipping included. If the vinyl arrives in mint condition it will easily pay for itself in a couple years. The release is limited to 1500 copies.

Would love to see this on vinyl one day. In my humble opinion it may be the crowning achievement in an astounding body of work that includes masterpieces like Curtains, The Empyrean, Shadows Collide With People and Smile From the Streets You Hold.

Johnny Boy back on form! =O)I have a live bootleg recording from around this period when he was touring to support the album. The bootleg is from The Borderline club in London, UK. Sunday 28th January 2001... and I managed to meet him afterwards too! Very nice guy, obliging to our photos and autographs... He was supposedly sober around this time, but he was way out of his skull when I met him! (though admittedly, probably NOT on crack or heroin. Definitely something though!)Oh, let me know should you like a copy of the bootleg, I ask you payment just for the cd and postage, no money making out of this. He played a few covers - Modern Love by David Bowie, Big Take-Over by Bad Brains (excellent!) and something else I can't recall now.
