I can't believe no one has commented on this brilliant and very original album, when I first heard this I was on a LSD come down. I have to to admit it totally freaked me out(in a good way), the music is mind blow in' but what makes it is Black Safichi goin' on with his self over this brilliant music.. This is one of my best Black Dog album's just for the fact of the balls & gut's of actually goin' ahead with the idea of it. I highly recommend this for people who love album's that are totally original.

It also comes with four "lovely" art prints that have little pieces of info. about each of the massive 20 tracks that is quite a topping on an already surprisingly stunning album.

This is just an absolute masterpiece. The way the music wraps itself around Safichi's poems is just insane. This is one of the most imaginative records I've ever heard. Although there's is no connection between tracks, this album is extremely consistent.

The Black Dog continues its sonic adventures with Unsavoury Products, aided and abetted by the spoken-word (or more like growled-word) of Black Sifichi. It’s difficult to tell which came first, the vocals or the music, because the two are so well-integrated that they seem to be an organic whole. Black Sifichi explores different moods with his monologues, from the drolly humorous “Mental Health Hotline” to the dark and brooding “Wishing Well.” The music, however, is continually paranoid and complex. It’s a fascinating combination: Beat poetry to beats.

if you are expecting Bytes then look elsewhere, but if you fancy something a little different that check this release by the last surviving member of Black Dog productions. There are some shocking moments - a very brave and bold project, stunning production values.

an ambitious project......adapting William s. Burroughs in an "electronica - style" album is quite surprizing at first but it soon takes you to some kind of terra incognita musical style , refreshing and clever...the beat generation just continues....
