Awesome remix by one of my favourite duo jam and spoon [just how many immense tracks have these guys made, produced or remixed, the lists endless] this is brilliant example of a track which can be so versatile in any set. Firstly, many will recognise this from Paul Oakenfolds Havana Club set on 21st feb1999, the progressive build up and little tweaks to the bassline keep you hooked, until the classic oldfield drone beats release the vocals "and the man in the rain picked up his bag of secrets and journeyed up the mountain side form of the clouds and nothing was ever heard from him again except for the sounds of tubular bells" then we get the classic oldfield tubular bells which click the main riff into action. This track was also a firm fav with hard trance jocks m-zone and Kenny sharp so a good weapon to have in the box, but really its a classic prog trance track, I cant finish this review without thanking Mark Spoon for his great tracks, R.I.P. mate your tracks will always be challenged but never equalled.

If you've ever wanted the perfect opening track, this EP provides just that, and in two completely different yet nicely related ways. The Timewriter provides an achingly warm, rhodes-driven tune that would start off any deep house set on the right note. The Jam & Spoon version is aimed more at the trance/techno crowd, with a harsh minor key & plenty of dangerous melodies. This EP is quite the crowd-pleaser either way you look at it.
