Iriar
The melody on this track is reminiscent of that from The Beginning of the End's "When She Made Me Promise".

Does anyone know what the lyrics (or the chorus?) are near the end of the record? That's the lyrics that start with "These are....."I just haven't been able to work them out, even after all these years.

The "evolution" of these two tracks into "Holiday" by Madonna is obvious. One John Benitez apparently spun this frequently in a club Madonna spent a lot of time in in 1982, so Arthur Baker might have a bit of a beef with Jellybean. The flip side has most vocals missing (it resembles the A-side only right at the end) and plays up the great vibraphone and guitar work in the mix, which just builds and builds to the end--this is no mere dub mix. Flip it, play the B-side first, and you will doubly enjoy this hot disc.

The club you're hinting towards is the legendary Funhouse, not only where Jellybean Benitez became famous as the house DJ and where Madonna cut her teeth, but one of the birthplaces of freestyle. So many of Arthur Baker's electro and dance works were championed (if not broken) at the Funhouse, that the New Order video for "Confusion" actually details Baker bringing a track on tape from the studio straight into the actual club. Planet Patrol also shot a video there, among other stories, so trust that many important shoulders rubbed at this seminal location.
