I've been listening to Skitz Mix when it first started. As each CD is release the music and mixes just gets better and better. This CD just does that! Tracks like The Grim Reaper – The Roof is on fire, Klubbingman – No Limit (on the Beach) and also the remix of 2 Unlimited – No Limits (Master Blaster Remix) are just some of the Mad Tracks featured in this CD. it is worth a listen . Nice 1 Nick!!. if you are not into this sort of music then this is not for you.

The Skitzmix series are the kind of CDs many electronica fans would probably be too embarrassed to admit that they were/are fans of (at least to their fellow elitist, electronic-loving buddies). But for many kiddies who came of age around the late 90s or early 2000s, these were strong musical influences on their tastes (which have - hopefully - since developed to include all kinds of electronica). During the late 90s (from about skitzmix 1-7) they had an overall sound of what can best be described as 'Original Hard House' or 'Oldschool Hard House' (you'll need to listen to understand exactly what I mean). In the early 00's (from about 9-17) they had a slightly more trance-based influence (though the sound is still Hard House, but in it's more refined form). During this period they began to slowly pick up other influences also, mixing in continuously harder (and often cheesier) sounds. In my opinion they dropped significantly in quality from about the 18th volume in the series (I'm not even sure if anyone still buys them). Some of the mixes were predominately rubbish compared to others, but within many of them, were absolute Hard House classics (and on the flip-side, in almost all of them, was at least one 100% cheese track - you have been warned!). Certain mixes in the series were definitely of a higher quality than others... SM17 is probably the most recent in the series that is worth mentioning. In this one the stronger, pseudo-aggressive, sound is clearer, but it's still quite an enjoyable mix. This CD should be heard for tracks 18, 19 and 20 alone. "Gia (Skitz Airplay Mixx)" is a great mix of Arabian sounds, kicking beats and sweeping hard trance-esque sounds (yet it all still classifies as Hard House - really good tune), "Anything Goes (Vocal Radio Edit)" is a great uplifting trance number and Steve Murano's remix of the Dark Monks "Insane" is just that, insane! Listen to it [up loud] to see what I mean - but don't be put off by the initial pop lyrics, they get what they deserve ; ) ["I don't want to be alone, be alone, be alone......"] Though I'd say this is the last of the best, in this series, it's a pretty good way to go out (just avoid track 10 - it's utter crap)
