This recording is amazing. It completely blew my mind in a way only the best avant-garde classical compositions can. The album is recorded with Ewart in one channel and Lewis in the other. Ewart's side is very much about the interplay of the two instrumentalists and has some surprises on "Save! Mon." when Ewart and Lewis begin to perform on electronics and percussion, at which point the music takes on a sort of absurd surrealist lilt and it's just amazing when that moment comes. Lewis' side is very meditative and tranquil. One of the most beautiful things I have ever heard is "The Phoenix." This album is well worth it.
