Rageseeker
The Luke Slater remix is a huge slice of dance floor artillery. Under the legendary Planetary Assault Systems moniker, a spiraling techno storm is beamed down to reduce dance podiums to beef jerky strips. Over thundering drum rolls, he operates a chainsaw like curve, a buzzing bass driven sphere rumbles and wilds all out like you've just broken a mercury-containing thermometer. Toxic stuff. The insectoid sirens are underpinned by nervous sound eruptions from the background, and the well measured, thick bass drops are the cherry on top. First heard this dropped by Dace Clarke on his Essential Mix: Masters Series one night late in the office, and had to look it up immediately. It's more than a tool. It's a mutated, mehcanical, centipede, with fire arms attached to its shoulder blades blazing away at anything with a pulse. Luke Slater in top form, yet again. Check out his track Temporary Suspension or the remix he recently did for Josh Wink for more of this subterranean rawkus.
