The Mission is a really great, early Goa Trance sound. The term Goa Trance wasn't used much in 91-92 so there are a handful of songs that you would have a hard time tracking down if you were looking for the header Goa Trance. A few of my favorite Goa Trance songs are not labeled Goa Trance and this is one of them. It seems to me that it is Ralf Hildenbeutels influence on this track that makes it so special. I have not heard a cut by Sven Vath alone that has the feel and depth of this song or a couple others that they did together. If you want to hear an amazing song that Ralf Hildenbeutal did on his own right after this, go to his Looking beyond CD and listen to track 5 "Coming back". Give it time to open up. It's an amazing song that really does not fit into any category. It is that special! Kind of a cross between Vangelis and Peter Gabriel. Exaltation will be found in this song.
