As a long time fan of 'The Best Club Anthems' series, I just had to buy this as I own all seven albums released prior to this. What do I think of this? It is an excellent edition to the series and probably still one of the best albums out there. I'm surprised that I couldn't find many decent detailed reviews on this release anywhere - namely here and on Amazon. It is awesome though, and along with loving the series, I wanted this because I knew that Richard Evans was part of the mixing, and this series was absent of a DJ mix since the '99 release.Now onto the actual music itself, CD 1 is just fantastic from start to finish and I enjoyed it more than 'Now Dance 2002' and 'The Best Dance Album In The World... Ever! 2002' released the same year, because the overall quality is just so much better. I don't want to go over each track because it would take too long, but the standouts are PPK's Resurrection, Riva's Who Do You Love Now, Lange's Drifting Away, Simple Minds collaboration with John 00 Fleming in Belfast Child being renamed Belfast Trance, Marc Et Claude's Tremble, 4 String's Into The Night and DJ Tiesto's Suburban Train. So while the mixing isn't superb, it is most certainly visible and memorable in others and the entire experience is outstanding. This is just an absolutely amazing CD from start to finish - there were NO fillers whatsoever.The second CD is not as good, as with practically most previous 'Club Anthems' release, because it is of a lighter more pop tone. Comparing this however to most albums of the time, this is still way better and more ideal for repeated listening experiences. This CD did only thing better, which was the mixing, and it was quite memorable to be honest, and we have good hits like Daft Punk's One More Time, iio's Rapture, Baz's Believers (best song in the disc IMO), Robert Sanchez's Another Chance, Jean Jacques's Two People and Dirty Vegas's The Brazillian. It's more of the standard cheesy dance music which I never enjoy as much, though here I can make a huge exception because most of these are still enjoyable to listen to.Overall, 'The Best Club Anthems 2002' is up there as one of the best releases in the series solely because of the first CD, and some honorable mentions in the second.
