I know I’ve stated in another comment that Superheroes 3rd album is perhaps their most remarkable hour. I stand corrected. It’s a tie between Igloo and Superheroes – with Igloo a possible winner! If Superheroes’ self titled 3rd album’s trademark is its’ amount of radio hits Igloo lacks nothing in quantity or quality. For starters, Thomas’ take on pop ballads is untouchable. Julianna will set any romantic sparkling on the dance floor and Voice (On The Radio) is guaranteed to have moved a young heart or two. It still sends shivers down my spine – and it’s a freakin’ pop song!! And when the romancing is over Johnny And I or Miami will send you into fits. As for the latter, a message to all musicians: Crack the code here and you can start writing hits by the hour. Picking songs is somewhat redundant, though. I have a thing for nearly all the tracks and the album has yet to let me down when I’m in the mood for lasting pop music. Among my pop albums this one ranks with the best.
