A long re-interpretation of Tchaikovsky by Pulsinger and Tunakan, usually both better known as straight-up techno artists. But here, they sample and loop the famous ballet score and turn it into... well, I'm not sure what. It's an experiment that seems to exist for its own sake, rather than necessarily with any direction. Still, SCHWANSEE REMIXED, brings in a spaciousness into its reconsideration of the music, with the original elements disappearing or lingering in the background, as larger forces come to bear. Moments of beauty appear and fade in the mix, resulting in a strange and intriguing album, but not one I necessarily find myself drawn to.
