It's funny to watch the mentality of flippers. I've been watching this record since it came out on 2017 RSD. This was selling on Discogs for 20-35 bucks ever since (low demand, one of the least interesting Cocteau albums), then someone posts two copies for $200 (presumably as a joke? Everything they have listed is insanely high so I guess it's a way to show off their collection without wanting to sell it) and now everyone who posts their copy is selling it for around that much, and none of the copies are selling at all. Interesting look into the psychology of flippers and greed.

yes! collect vinyl is not a hobby anymore, is not fun anymore! now is just a business in a sea of scalpers and resellers.

Spatafore - yes, it's funny what you say, "awful days for collecting vinyl". I bought a lot of my vinyl at the very beginning of the eighties and beyond (still do). At that time you could get vinyl at low prices. And it was really fun to collect, whether new or second hand. You could afford to experiment more and buy things just because you like the cover. Sometimes ten items at a time, you wouldn't do that now, it's far too expensive. There were such things as 'vinyl sales' - tons of great albums for £1.99. Not now. Now a new-release 12" can sell for over £10!Vinyl is elitist, sad to say. I still collect vinyl and enjoy it, but it's a tad hilarious the way people go on now: vinyl, the latest craze . . .

I HATE Scalpers! there's a lot here in discogs! awful days for collecting vinyl.

$40 - $45 retail for this is reasonable. I ended up ordering a copy from the UK for under $60 with shipping. There are so many copies available now, no sense in paying "flipper" prices.

They have a bunch of these at Amoeba in Hollywood right now including Milk and Kisses.

I grabbed my copy a few months ago for about 30€ in Leclerc supermarket , France.

anybody tryna sell at a reasonable price, holler at a player.

http://pitchfork.com/news/72420-cocteau-twins-simon-raymonde-says-he-didnt-know-about-his-bands-record-store-day-reissues/A shame the artists have little to no control. Wondered what was keeping them from reissuing their catalog, this gives a little insight as to why.
Buzatus
maybe they shouldn't have jumped from 4ad to a major label at their peak, then they wouldn't have anything to moan about.

My copy of this is an excellent pressing. It's nice to have all the singles also on vinyl.I mention the Four-Calendar pressing, because the RSD Milk and Honey has some pressing faults - there is an audible and tangible blip after Eperdu track 3 / side 2. I have to manually lift the stylus to continue the music; also, there is some static crackle. Others are saying the same . . .To repeat: my copy of Four Calendar sounds wonderful.
