Dean Dennis (ex-ClockDVA) brings us another great electronic release. This CD has a different feel to the previous Nohno album and explores various rhythms and sounds. Some tracks have a groovy sounds to them like the 2nd track "Void". Dean Dennis / Clock DVA fans will not be disappointed by this release. "Sleepers" is one of the lighter tracks that I've heard by Mr. Dennis. It features soft female vocals and a mellow downbeat sound. "Bedtime Stories" slows down things further with very nice ambient soundscapes. This is something I can play before going to sleep and that's a compliment coming from me. "The Visitors" picks things back up with faint bass styles that remind me of Japan's Mick Karn (RIP). "Kinesis" features Toshinori Kondon on trumpet. The trumpet is used in a classy style that it fits right in without taking away from the music. At this point, I start to think of those romantic scenes of Deckard and Rachel in the Ridley Scott's "Bladerunner" with this track sounding like a futuristic lounge track. In fact, overall the whole album sounds something that aliens would relax to while viewing the galaxies from their spacecraft. "Form Constant" moves the album away from the lounge sound to a more spacey direction. The album closes with nice ambient sounds with the sound of running water in the background. The artwork and packaging of this release is simply beautiful.
