I remember seeing this on shops in Russia for several years since 2002. The track selection of the mix itself represents not just Pauls early career as a DJ, but the rise of an era, I might say: techno and trance-influented techstep which was widely popular that and few coming years. In early 2000s drumnbass really became international, with the help dozens of upcoming artists from all the continents getting into the spotlight of big UK labels. Those were SKC & Chris.SU, Concord Dawn and Pendulum, D-Kay, Gridlok, Black Sun Empire and many many more with Paul B among them. Although this CD was very popular in Russia and Baltic countries, Paul once stated that the release was totally pirated, adding that the label had simply took one of his early mixes and released it without any supervision. It seems true, as theres no official tacklist on the CD itself and the tracklist published on H8 Records website later on wasnt right (E. G. There's obviously no D-Kay & Epsilon's "Barcelona" in it). Despite all that, the mix took it's place in history of Russia's drum & bass movement and is still being listened by those interested in harder sounds.

You said: "techno and trance-influented techstep"... I`d rather say "neurofunk"...
