This is a really nice sounding pressing. Bought it in 2005 but haven't listened to it for a good while. Nice and silent, with good dynamics. Packaging is a bit barebones.

How often does it happen that unadulterated Stones-rock in the hit parade? It succeeded The Dandy Warhols with the great single Bohemian Like You and for that fact alone, they deserve our respect. Welcome To The Monkey House, their fourth cd again, comes on first hearing what surfaces over but turns out after a few spins again contain some addictive tracks as We Used To Be Friends and You Were The Last High, songs you without having to make much impression initially want to hear over and over again. And even though the band sound this time by producer Nick Rhodes (Yes, that of Duran Duran) of an electronic veneer and seems Courtney Taylor-Taylor are unique sense of understatement in the texts, no other band know better the balance between art and kitsch. It is and remains wegwerppop but made with intelligence and just the right deadpan attitude. And come there to, yet again today.
