Good nonstop-megamix of songs. so a gapless playback is nice for a party or maybe just for a nice trip without shuffling around the gaps. Also, as sselfless stated, it is the earlier songs, so save some ipod space and leave this mix as a nice stand-alone album (unless you dont mind repeats in songs). Its also a GREAT album to give newer fans of goa (as Maurautius said) Overall its a good album to have around, so dont pass up.

If you're new to Astral Projection and not sure where to start, a safe purchase would be this 2xCD set. 22 tracks containing AP's greatest hits, remixes, rare tracks and even a couple new songs. The songs have been mixed together so when a track ends, the next track has already begun... Thus making most of the songs intertwine with eachother. The end result is actually pretty good. Even though I own all of AP's albums I still consider this an essential purchase because its great to listen to on its own as a separate album. Goa classics like People Can Fly and Searching For UFO's are included... And the closing track on disc 2 (Burning Up) has a gorgeous piano line in it.

Wonderfully blissed out Goa. And some remixes of older material to make you weep with joy. And I agree...Burning Up is too good to be true, emotive beyond my capacity to feel...a nd the nostalgia sickens me with remembrances of elation. but... You are better off picking up the real releases...and then buying this one to top it all off.

Ka-ching! Ferry Corsten couldn't have done any better than AP on the final track on cd two. Burning Up is a brutal example of melodic techno at its most hideous and nearly brings tears to a dedicated disciple of the early AP sound. As Oasis sings: "Where did it all go wrong?" Commenting this album necessarily needs to follow two lines of thoughts. Those that already know and have several AP albums. Beware! Stay clear, nothing new here. Same versions of tracks you already have, so-so dj'ing, and a really weird mixing. Check for instance Searching for Ufo's - what happened with the lead at 1:49? Some form of abduction? For those that does not know AP this is, well, an entrance, if nothing else. The amount of monster hits these guys can look back upon is nothing short of breathtaking and they're all here. Ionized, Let There Be Light, Enlightened Evolution, People Can Fly ... And as stated above, for the bulk part in original versions. Still, I urge you instead to grab a copy of their first four albums. Individually these shine so much brighter than this mediocre blend of 5 years stardom and innovative geniusy. Only question for me is WHY there was a need for this release? I hear ... ka-ching?
