Promo only release containing an alternative version of "Antichrist Superstar." Never commercially available. Released without casing or cover art. CD is labeled in white tape with the words "Antichrist Superstar" and "Studio A-New Orleans." The only information printed directly onto the disc is the catalog number.

Please note that in the scan the catalog number printed on the disk is underneath the white tape. It is visible under the "AR" in Superstar.

Just an FYI: If anyone wants a physical copy of this track, the CMJ New Music Monthly Volume 41 January 1997 compilation has it as the first track, and for a much nicer price to boot!Anyway, I don't remember exactly when this came out but it was June/July 1996, a few months before the full LP came out. I remember people freaking out over this on the old Spooky Kids email list. I think one person even found a copy that had "Antistar Superchrist" or something similar written on it by accident! Gotta love the mind-numbing jobs they give interns. :)

True. It was released before the album was released. I obtained my copy at a record convention for $20.00 on 9/29/96.
