With the Westcoast sound is mainly the Group of artists that in the early seventies softrock and folk rock combined with country western and tight vocal harmonies &. The Eagles were in it with the greatest names in their wake as Jackson Browne and Linda Ronstadt. Popprofessor Leo blokhuis makes no secret of great fan of music from Los Angeles and now presents, on his usual catchy way, four CDs full of Westcoast music, packed in an informative book work. These names appear only on the fourth cd but of course came out of nowhere appear. Log cabin starts therefore in the Los Angeles of 1965 with groundbreaking bands like The Byrds and Buffalo Springfield. Attention is also the famous session band The Wrecking Crew that was being ravaged in the studios where bands play their records themselves rarely annex hitfabrieken. Log cabin targets a wide audience and keeps the music so listenable, Little Feat and Tom Waits but no Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart. This immaculate collection can be so, integral be turned at any classic rock radio station
