This is probably the best case of "f*ck that third-world country, they don't need the full album anyways"

It's not the first time this happens... back in 60's and 70's, the majority of double LPs were condensed in a single LP pressing in Brazil, which means leaving several tracks off the cut. Other examples are Chicago's first two albums, both double LPs, released as a single LP "compilation" (Chicago Transit Authority* - Chicago Transit Authority); The Who's Tommy (The Who - Tommy); Jimi Hendrix Experience's Electric Ladyland (The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland)... at least some of them got a later reissue in complete forms, unlike this one.

Actually, this remains an interesting issue, as the tracks on side A are the longer versions also found on the first Greek issue. Side A on this record includes all the songs that had any chance of being popular in Brazil. Also, Brazil was under a Totalitarian Military Regime back then, and the "666" cover, as well as tracks such as "infinity", could have been an issue. Also, the vinyl material used to manufacture records themselves was scarce in Brazil during the crisis of the early 1970s. All those pieces of information should be taken into account. If I were to complain about any issue, it would be the fact that all CD re-issues around the world have 78 minutes and are still split onto two CDs, rather than a much more practical single disc which could easily hold that running time nowadays.

How in hell can they get away with that? It seems like copyright violation of some kind. I doubt they got permission from either the original label or Vangelis himself. Fargin bastiges!
