Never new this was such a rare record, picked mine up for £13 from Oxfam online a few weeks back.

Like James' "Laid", Chrome was very likely a 16/44.1 recording and with it being crammed all onto a single LP there's really not a lot of reason for championing the vinyl when the original CD mastering is so good and pre-loudness wars. I would for sure consider a 2LP vinyl release if it were remastered by someone who does nice open dynamic masterings, James' Laid sounds very nice on the recent 2LP remaster. SIDE B of Chrome on a single LP is running almost 28 minutes! It's just science that the noise floor will be high.

I would guess that at the time vinyl was not very popular, thought to be a dead format, and Catherine Wheel never got as big as they should have outside the UK. Adam & Eve is even worse
