I think we can all agree that Worlock rules. If you discovered it back in the day when you went through some personal upheavals it is certainly an even more haunting track than it already is.....which is pretty impressive!

Although the puppies probably released more groundbreaking stuff, my favorite is still this one. The incredibly amazing blend of melody, atmosphere, samples and their trademark weird sounds scream ‘masterpiece’ from start to finish. The final crescendo still gives me goosebumps, and I heard the song for the first time like 15 years ago; then all my teenage friends were obsessed with Grunge-like bands :)Skinny Puppy Rules.

To me, WORLOCK is one of Skinny Puppy's best tracks, despite coming off RABIES, one of their most uneven albums. The track itself takes the scary attitude that the Puppies have carefully cultivated and merges it with a ghostly melody that serves it well. Even Ogre's lyrics, a rambling sideshow of horrors, seem to build to an actual crescendo of agony. Sure, the two other tracks, the Kent State-inspired "Tin Omen" and "Brak Talk" are symptomatic of RABIES in general -- but "Worlock" remains one of the pinnacles of Skinny Puppy's career.
