Nanecele
Four years after Facebook became mainstream, 67-year-old Eurovision veteran Ralph Siegel decided to strike again, making a novelty song about it as San Marino's 3rd attempt for Eurovision. With shockingly embarrassing lyrics like 'Are you ready for a song about the internet', 'Do you wanna play cybersex again?', 'Are you really a sex machine or just some beauty queen?' combined with 37-year-old Valentina prancing around like a teenager, all excited about this 'latest craze', it's cringeworthy beyond words. Too bad 'cause the melody and arrangement themselves are enjoyable, if somewhat old-fashioned. Being rejected for a breach of Eurovision rules (promoting commercial interests), the song has now been rewritten and re-recorded as 'The Social Network Song' which hasn't improved anything.
