With FILMOTHEQUE, Lemongrass tries his hand at soundtrack-ready tunes, all with his laidback sensibility. The warm and groovy "Elle et Moi" or the sunny and bright "Hot Day" show his attention to mood. "The Camera" sees him trying jazz-funk with decidedly mixed results, but the easygoing delicacy of "Aloha" and "Spaceship" lightens things back up. "Salon de Musique" has some more rhythmic sensibility, but it doesn't always jibe with the flow of the music itself. "Grass-Hopper" ends the album on a house note, but as a whole, it's more suited to lying back and soaking in.
