This refined and versatile 4-piece comes from a small town in the middle of France. They started in 1990 from a group of friends sharing a comon love of pure & eccentric pop. Psychedelic pop provides the touchstone of their sound, but the band blends their own ideas with those of XTC, Robyn Hitchock, Mitch Easter and other maestros of multi-dimensional sounds. Out of place here in France full of garage and grunge bands & more interested in doing what they want – it’s the music that counts here not the image – they have meet moderat succes so far. After 2 self-published cassettes and some tracks on various local compilations, The Strawberry Minds finally released theirs 1st album in 1995. “Anorak Day” -
