I know nothing about cataloging. Here is what I know. The back cover top left has the Capital and EMI logo. The right side says it is High Fidelity T-2553 and notes it is also available in stereo. The bottom of back cover indicates it is monofonic microgroove recording. In small print it says made in USA factories in Sranton PA, Los Angeles, and Jacksonville FL. The RIAA logo has a 3 to the left of it. On the LP side 1 has T-X-1-2553 and side 2 had T-X-2-2553. I peeled enough up to reveal their legs and white lab coats, John's finger and a portion of raw meat. I do not know how to proceed without damaging the Butcher cover, or the Trunk cover.

From notesUnderneath the regular 'trunk' cover was the so-called 'baby butcher' cover of this release which induced such an outrage that the album was recalled and new artwork was created from an earlier Beatles photoshoot. A small number of copies escaped and appeared on the market nonetheless. These are known as ''first state'' butcher covers. Not wanting to lose time with waiting until the new covers were ready, Capitol decided to first use the new front slicks and glue them over the original artwork, to hide its offensive picture from the public eye. The (not too many) copies of this that came unto the market are known as ''second state'' butcher covers. These are discernible by checking the cover in the middle on the right hand side. If the ''butcher'' artwork is underneath, a dark triangle (of Ringo's turtleneck) shines through. If the pasted slick is removed, as on this copy, and the original artwork thus restored the release is known as a ''third state'' butcher cover.
