The Soul singer & songwriter from West Virginia Bill Withers deserves many credits as a reference for Hip Hop & Electronic Music producers, specially because of this album that contains the classics "Kissing My Love" and "Use Me" (1972). His tunes were included on the quintessential compilation series such as "Super Disco Brake's Volume Two" (for "Use Me") and "Ultimate Breaks And Beats Vol. 20 (for "Kissing My Love"). "Kissing My Love" (1972) got one of thouse great drums on its opening, largely sampled by an incredible amount of Hip Hop acts (Eric B. & Rakim, Jungle Brothers, Scholly D., Dr. Dre, Jamal-Ski, WC & The Maad Circle, just to mention some of them); "Use Me"s arrangements appeared years later on a re-work of the Ítalo-House producer Gino Latino on "Welcome", but also on Hip Hop tunes like 'Funky Aztecs - Barrioism' (1992) and "Now I Shine" by Mission (1999).
