Agreed with LP reissue from 4MWB, bought one and send it back after listening twice. Bill Fay's music sure deserves HQ reissues...
Nalmergas
This is a lovely open-hearted album that brings up questions many of us ask ourselves each day. The world weary lyricism and at times apocalyptic musical settings quickly set a mood that does not waver during the listeners experience. An absolute must for fans of top notch word craft... jazz enthusiasts and psych aficionados will likely walk away from a listen feeling enriched.
Lightseeker
Yeah, they are notoriously aloof. I've heard this reissue is no better than the pretty awful YouTube videos. Surprised that this album is still relatively obscure, considering the present Bill Fay resurgence.
Beydar
Urgh. What I wouldn't give for some label other than those 4 bearded shysters to reissue this.
Karon
I'm no great fan of 4MWB but this pressing is perfectly listenable, some of their stuff is better than others. I can only compare to the CD as I've never heard an original, and never will be able to afford one anyway.
