Actually, if the vocals sound familiar it's because they belong to Rick Purdy of Pilgrim Soul, who enhanced the original Jagger/Richards vocal by singing it in five part harmony. Rick also had club hits with Roger Sanchez and Steve Lawler for the track "Rise In," "Nameless" on Yoshitoshi and BuddahBar Records as well as the song Stay Another Day, which was featured in the Sony Motion Picture Classics film The Broken Hearts Club. Having initially caused ripples when Roger Sanchez championed it a while back, this is now set to make a huge splash when it gets a full release on the Strictly imprint having won over just about every dancefloor from here to the white island. Made in Holland, this is every bit as good as the act’s previous release ‘Learning To Fly’, with the added attraction of a Superchumbo-esque twisted back-drop that the hypnotic vocals sit atop – and if they sound a tad familiar it’s probably because they are – a quick label check reveals they were written by a certain Jagger & Richard way back in 1967! Love indeed.
