I have always loved this record, and I still love it. It was a good opportunity to rejuvenate him. What a desappointment! The spirit of "Graceland" has totally disappeared. Nothing to save.

Welcome to disgraceland....Seriously, this is awful! I'm a huge Paul Simon-fan and an in-depth collector and DJ of all kinds of open-minded electronic music. Then I heard of this (surely) expensive remix project, and of course I got curious. But already from seeing the line-up I understood this would be a fiasco. Oakenfold, Sharam, TC, GA, Photek!?!? Perhaps 20 years ago they could've made something interesting, but today, in 2018?! Ahhh this is so generic I could vomit.I wonder who curated this. If this person ever read this - you did a terrible job, and have disgraced a whole world of music lovers, Paul Simon included. If you haven't updated your electronic music collection for 20 years you are not the right person for the job....Just imagine how good this could've been! Tornado Wallace. Clap! Clap! Khidja. Vakula.....

Lets all vomit together... So I couldn't agree more... Generic is the word. To me it all sounds like it was done over 20 years ago. It's unimaginative, generic, dull, lazy and boring. Nothing about this remix is worth any kind of merit. It's so very, very naff.

Ranks up there with the Bob Dylan Christmas album. My biggest beef is how could they release this (w/ presumably digital format to follow), but the original 12" mix of Boy In The Bubble (a 12" I had & have been waiting to see in digital format, ie. from the original tape & not just a vinyl rip) still not be released yet, given all the anniversary editions of this album, surely it could at least find its way onto an album of remixes. I actually like the Thievery Corporation remix....the others are a bit generic.

How everone finds this utterly appaling is beyond me. I can understand that for some of you close-minded purists it's hard for you to realize there exist music-genres beyond what you believe to be the only music form. However there are some really nice tunes in here if you would just allow yourself to broaden your spectrum. I came here because I absolutely adore Joris Voorn his addition to this album and subsequently listened to the originals. Maybe that's the reason why Paul Simon (apparently way more open-minded to people here on discogs) signed off on this: to stimulate the creation of new music from something he created and to make the young ones listen to timeless classics. If you can't see that then I pity you.

Well, we are all different. I've got nothing against remixes. It's just that this album just doesn't work remixed 'in this way'. To me it sounds like it was all done a loooong time ago. The beats are weak for 2018, nothing ground breaking and to remix this album (which was ground breaking) with sub standard beats, no imagination is just lazy. To be honest, Swoopinghawk. I feel like Paul Simon didn't have any say in this, it's almost like a bootleg bedroom effort.I love dance music, very open minded to new ways of doing stuff but this just doesn't work for me. I would have been thrilled to hear a well done remix. To remix this classic needs an awful lot of collaborative input and not the 'have a go' style which is what it sounds like. So, IMO... a lazy, unimaginative release which never should have been released. But, hey-ho... it's out there now :) lol
