Whitestone
Great pressing. Sounds fantastic and the tip on gatefold & poly-lined sleeves are MUCH appreciated. Should be a standard today.
Zaryagan
Just noticed my copy came with two sets of sleeves: a waxy, plain sleeve that the records were actually inside and papery sleeves with photos on them. They were simply shoved inside alongside the wax sleeves. Anyone else have the same? What should I do with the extras?
YSOP
Keep them both. The waxy, plain sleeve is better for the vinyl because it keeps the static to a minimum and wont scratch like the paper will.
Vojar
Scored this for $18 from the Wilcoworld store today during the big sale. Will do an A/B comparison with my ORG DMM Sundazed copy from 2002 when it comes
Enone
Honestly, I still prefer the reissue, only for the alternate ending of Pot Kettle Black (It doesn't fade like the original, and has a nice little acoustic riff.) But both sound very very good
Dorilune
Eagerly awaiting the results on this A/B comparison! Want to know if this record can sound better than this current reissue.
Tcaruieb
Is this pressing half speed mastered like Sky Blue Sky?
Jelar
Definitely my best sounding record. Wilco is made for vinyl. Only issue is some pops on side D, specifically during the intro to Poor Places and all throughout Reservations, anyone else have this problem? Other delicate songs elsewhere on the album like Radio Cure are dead quiet. Still sounds great either way.
Tyler Is Not Here
I have pops on my version as well. Frustrating to have with all the great reviews.
Lanin
Worth way more than what you pay for it. As previously mentioned, very thorough and high-quality packaging. For $30 (Canadian), who could go wrong? I wonder if this was recorded on tape, and if this is sourced from those originals. Sounds absolutely flooring and detailed.
Ice_One_Guys
The vinyl was indeed sourced from the original analogue tapes. http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/a-new-wilco-yankee-hotel-foxtrot.153829/
Funny duck
It's worth noting that Pot Kettle Black does not fade out on this edition; there is a true ending to the song. It surprised me when I first heard it!
Urtte
an album where, at points, one must fight back tears ...or just let them roll.
Naril
One of the greatest albums I've every purchased. Beautifully mastered, sublime songwriting, and an incredible physical presentation (180g vinyl and poly-lined sleeves). Really just a perfect record, both in substance and style.
Insanity
Best re-release ever! $30, comes with CD, high quality inner sleeve, nice pressing!
