Despite how brilliant bop-gun, Flashlight and Funkentelechy are - Wizard of Finance and Placebo Syndrome are my faviurites on this wonderous piece of funky delight. The base line on Wizard of Finance in particular is audacious. An absolute must have for anyone into funk.

I just found a NM original 1977 copy complete with poster and comic book! The vinyl looks unplayed in fact the whole thing looks like it just sat on a shelf. Anyways the music is incredibly good. Bop Gun and Flash Light are some of the best funk songs I've ever heard. It was love at first funk. I'm so funked up I'll never be the same. I'm getting funky just writing this and thinking about it. Get a copy as soon as possible, you won't regret it!

A perfect slice of P Funk. "Bop Gun", "Funkentelechy", and "Flashlight" are life-changing. "Sir Nose" is alright, a little long for my taste, and the other two songs are pretty boring, but they could be written and performed by One Direction and the album would still be a masterpiece just given those incredible 3 tracks.I remember when I first listened to this record, a year ago, when I was 13, on a road trip, dusk was coming on, and I was transported to the stars by the horns (Fred Wesley?) on "Funkentelechy".Cannot recommend this enough. I will come to your house and force you to listen until you are GROOVIN'!I wish I had one of those Nose D'voidoffunk posters!

Flashlight is one of the best pure funk tracks ever recorded, by the greatest funk band of all time.

this is the 1st record i ever bought w/ my own money, back in about '78. i was 10. i didn't realise that there was a storyline to follow, so i always played side 2 1st, and i still do it when i put on the album.
