I actually hammered this record into oblivion. Woody McBride was on a mission around the time this one was released. Taking on too much at once, Woody released two dozen records at the same time and that would in turn, fold like a house made out of playing cards. In the aftermath I became friends with Paul and was able to squeeze a couple record deals in plus license this track to my mix cds which gave it some needed exposure. Paul Birken is by far one of America's underground techno prodigy's. And the cult following he has maintained is just because he is a master craftsman and highly skilled as a producer. This ep remains one of Discogs most sort after items. Also nice that Woody himself made a nice comeback in the years after his labels closed.

Fun record to make back in the day. BPM of title track still seems a little too slow..should've been 5bpm faster. Gear used: Roland R-70, S-10sampler, MC-202, SH-101, Novation BassStation rack, Tr-707, Kawai Q-80 sequencer, Zoom 1204 and the mic was a $20 pair of headphones..good distortion.
great ant
Great era, still sounds fresh, I put my head in the speaker and it's still there lol respect Paul
